Summary

Responsible for operational efforts for an industrial mineral surface operation employing an experienced workforce of one supervisor and approximately 15 hourly employees. Rural location. SOUTH CENTRAL US. COMPETITIVE SALARY, BONUS, VEHICLE, COMPREHENSIVE BENEFITS AND RELOCATION ASSISTANCE.

Responsibilities

  • Oversight of mining operations at multiple sites in close proximity.
  • Implementation and oversight of safety programs.
  • Manage an experienced workforce of one salaried and approximately 15 hourly employees.
  • Responsible for the development of both short and long-range mine plans.
  • Develop financial projections and cost control methods.
  • Interface with MSHA and other State and Federal inspectors.
  • Serve as backup to General Manager in his absence.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Mining Engineering or Geological Engineering.
  • 15+ years experience in mining operations.
  • Strong mine planning experience with complicated deposits.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Must be open to living in a rural environment.
