Summary

Responsibilities

  • Oversee maintenance staff and preventative maintenance work of all fixed and mobile equipment. This includes coordination of parts, schedule of labor and communication with Management that may be affected by the plant needs.
  • Provides training on maintenance issues of all fixed and mobile asset equipment. Ensures all routine maintenance activities are in line with company policies and procedures and in compliance with safety, legislative, environmental and certifying authority requirements.
  • Evaluate and make recommendations for change to Preventative Maintenance Procedures to optimize maintenance of all fixed and mobile equipment.
  • Regularly review and monitor compliance with safe work systems.
  • Work with vendors to set up shop supplies and spare parts through INFOR CMMS program.
  • Works with warehouse personnel to set up warehouse stock inventory

Requirements

  • High school graduate or equivalent required. Valid operator’s license with clean driving record.
  • Ten (10) years of maintenance experience with five (5) years of supervisory experience.
  • Knowledge of maintenance procedures and machinery functions in a mining environment.
  • Experience with MSHA regulations preferred.
  • Ability to communicate with technical specialists and to interpret technical drawings and specification documents.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Advanced Microsoft Office and computer maintenance management system experience.
  • Analytical thinker and ability to make recommendations and decisions.
  • Poses excellent troubleshooting skills, technical knowledge of production equipment including, mechanical and electrical equipment and computer operations with the ability to guide, direct and motivate maintenance personnel.
  • Must be able to work any shift, including weekends as needed.
