Summary

Complete oversight including operations, sales, and overall P&L for a multi-site mining and minerals processing facility. Non-union facilities running single shift at quarries and multiple shifts at processing operations. SOUTH CENTRAL US. Responsibilities

  • Complete P&L responsibility for multiple quarries, processing/milling, and loadout (truck and rail) facilities.
  • Oversight of 5 direct reports including Sales, Mine, Milling, Quality Managers and Office Clerical, and approximately 55 indirect, non-union reports.
  • Provide safety leadership from an executive viewpoint.
  • Act as the point-of-contact for the organization within the region; interact with community, school, governmental (local, state, federal) and local business leaders.
  • Conduct regular company communication meetings for all employees.
  • Interact with customers, vendors, distributors when called upon.

Requirements

  • 15+ years operations management experience over mining and minerals processing operations, including experience overseeing safety, sales, quality control, community public relations, and R&D.
  • 4 year degree in an engineering field, geology or similar required; MBA a plus.
  • Familiarity with financial statements, procedures, budgeting, financial analysis required.
  • A mature individual with proven ability to lead, motivate and inspire workforce.
  • Strong previous experience managing P&L for an organization.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Some level of Spanish literacy a plus.
  • Must be open to living in a rural environment.
