Responsibilities

Responsible for overall P & L of multiple surface limestone quarries and material rail yards. Implement operating procedures, policies and best practices that achieve long and short-term goals in safety, quality, production, finance, asset management, environmental, permitting and long-term mine planning. Ensure company mandated safety and environmental compliance for all mining related activities. Construct long-range planning designs and financial justifications. Inspire leadership team to constantly develop and implement tasks to reduce costs and improve site profitability. Consistently produce and ship aggregate products that meet quality specifications. Provide leadership, training, and team building, to the organization. Manage development planning, staffing, and career counseling. Continue to refine and implement public relations program to ensure excellent neighbor relations.

Requirements

  • Bachelors of Science in Engineering (preferably mining), or equivalent experience required.
  • 10+ years experience in mine production or multiplant management preferred.
  • Working knowledge of safety and MSHA/OSHA regulations
  • Working knowledge of production, rail distribution, truck distribution, rigging, and project management
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and strong leadership skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word/Excel), ACAD, JDE and Aggflow
